“If the format of the race doesn’t change in the future, I probably won’t run at this event again.”

 Summary

As a build up for CIM, this race was not one to stress about. Jake Heslington and I planned to run this one together from the start. The goal was just to run under 67, maybe sub 66 if we were feeling especially good. Plus this race was in our back yard and there certainly wouldn’t be any competition. It was a good opportunity to practice race prep, and simulate a race experience. Overall, I felt better than I thought I would, ran faster than I thought I could, and had the most frustrating 5k of any race I’ve ever had. If the format of the race doesn’t change in the future, I probably won’t run at this event again.
